This was made on ableton with nexus. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. Gives me a super relaxed feeling when set with the beach or something. This recording was taken from the balcony of an apartment in johor bahru malaysia on september 30th 2022 at about 1:30pm. It was monsoon season but not raining and the weather was hazy and muggy. The recording features the drone of a busy city punctuated by a whippersnipper, a building site, birds, a light aeroplane and car horns. At around the 4:30 mark there's two loud motorcycles that race each other and echo around the city in a most glorious way. The recording was made with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a zoom h5 portable recorder.

Found this on my computer from a year ago, i made this after reading the name of the wind and imagining the mood of the main character, kvothe, being in the middle of nowhere in autumn. This track might work well for films, if you use this track please credit me!.

This atmosphere gives off a dark and brooding feel, my interpretation of what one may experience in a deep, suspended animation state. Ambient sound akin to the bridge of a starship. Muted background hum with an overtone of air conditioning ducts. Pseudo-random high pitched blips occupy the soundstage. Could be used as an ambient sound loop for hi-tech / science fiction interiors such as a laboratory, a control room, or the bridge of a spacecraft. Created with two instances of flstudio 3x osc. One kicking out a pair of sinewaves plus noise for the background susurus (hum) and ventilation sound. Second 3x osc is set to produce two interfereing square waves for the blips, squeaks and buzzes. The background was notch filtered and bandpassed to mellow out the humming sound and reduce hiss. The blips were processed with flstudio equo, stereo enhance, fruity delay2 and fl pan-o-matic vst. Each blip was pasted by hand in a seemingly random but not too unpleasant pattern.

What you hear is the sound of an old mystic engine, or something else, i donßt know. I made it with audacity. Use it if you want, you don´t have to ask me to. But i would be nice if you tell me, that you used it in something.

Its a sine wave folded 4 times by a cgs inspired wavefolder module (kinda like the metalizer from the minibrute). The whole thing is then modulated with an external function generator that controls amount and frequency of modulation. This is what came out and it's pure junky drone noises, so goddamn nasty. Absolutely love them. Feel completely free to sample this and use it for your own purposes. This is a diy synthesizer i'm building and unfortunately it is still a prototype, but i'm gonna finish it soon and hope to sell it. Cool indeed, isn't it?.

During the covid-19 lockdown, i spent some time walking where the city meets a mountain and discovered an area with loud but subtle electric infrastructure wires. These, along with cars, birds, and rustling leaves, are recorded with binaural microphones and cropped down to one minute.
